Item 8.01. Other Events.

Based on the July 9, 2010 Amended Order by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in the action filed by the Coalition for ICANN Transparency, Inc. (“CFIT”), VeriSign, Inc. (the “Company”) today filed with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California a request for an early status conference to begin the process to resolve the case on its merits. For a description of the procedural history of this litigation, see the VeriSign, Inc. Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2009 and the Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2010.

While the Company cannot predict the outcome of these proceedings, it believes the allegations against it are without merit and intends to vigorously defend against them.
